Her story is a phenomenon. Her life is a disaster.

In the real world, Eliza Mirk is shy, weird, and friendless. Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of the wildly popular webcomic Monstrous Sea. Eliza can’t imagine enjoying the real world as much as she loves the online one, and she has no desire to try.

Then Wallace Warland, Monstrous Sea’s biggest fanfiction writer, transfers to her school. Wallace thinks Eliza is just another fan, and as he draws her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if a life offline might be worthwhile.

But when Eliza’s secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she’s built—her story, her relationship with Wallace, and even her sanity—begins to fall apart. (Goodreads summary)

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilarating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her … but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Waiting on Wednesday – Tower of Dawn

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week I am waiting waiting WAITING on Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

Expected publication September 5th 2017 by Bloomsbury U.S.A. Children’s Books

31450852In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent’s mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined. (Goodreads summary)

Why I Am Waiting

  • Because Sarah J. Maas
  • Because Empire of Storms destroyed me and I need MORE!
  • Because it feels like A Court of Wings and Ruin seems like forever ago.
  • Because Sarah J. Maas
  • Because even though Chaol isn’t anywhere close to being by favorite character ( I seem to be in the minority here) I am very curious about the southern continent, we only explored a small fraction in The Assassin’s Blade stories. I want more.
  • Because I want more Nesryn.
  • Because I need more of this world.
  • SARAH J. FREAKIN MAAS!

empire-of-thrones-usKINGDOMS WILL COLLIDE.

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don’t.

With her heart sworn to the warrior-prince by her side, and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, and dark forces become poised to claim her world, the only chance for salvation will lie in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

In this breathtaking fifth installment of the New York Timesbestselling Throne of Glass series, Aelin will have to choose what—and who—to sacrifice if she’s to keep the world of Erilea from breaking apart. (goodreads summary)

Sarah J. Maas must have been taking notes from Cassandra Claire because she is becoming the next queen of how exactly to RIP MY HEART OUT!! Queen of Shadows ended so perfectly that I planned on waiting to read this when the last book comes out in 2018. But dang it A Court of Wings and Ruin left me with a book hang over so bad that I just needed. more. Maas! and before I knew it I was halfway through EOS and firmly reattached to these cahracters I love so much!

I loved getting to follow all the different story line until they met up right before all the crap hit the fan (naturally). Elide might be one of my new favorite characters. She definitely came out of her shell. and Aelin and Rowen, be still my heart… I loved getting to go back and visit the pirate king (those novellas mattered guys!) it’s like every little detail from every single book and novella is all coming together as build up for the final book of the series. My heart can’t handle it.

31450852So i’ve been trying to work on this review for weeks and I can’t write it without spoilers or fangirling to hard so I’m just going to complain about the people complaining about the book cover for Tower of Dawn.

People are soooo up in arms because the cover doesn’t feature Chaol. Boo freaking hoo. Its still a gorgeous cover, The series is about Aelin, not Chaol. She may not be in this book but it still ties into HER series about HER story so GET OVER IT! Just be happy that Queen Maas turned this into a full novel and not just the little novella it was suppose to be. We get more of Erilea and Chaol so quit your whining and count your blessings people!
